I could find my stripped screw extractor set long before I could find a rubber band.
I finally resorted to driving a finish nail on the side of a nearby door frame and keep a couple of various size rubber bands on it. Much faster to find and use.
I store various sized rubber bands on the kitchen junk drawer knob. I also have an Italian tupperware container full of various sizes in the drawer and another container in the garage near the tool boxes.
It’s amazing how much rubber can be used for screwing…
well…. I’m not an expert on the subject, BUT, your comment is the best one I’ve read all month.
Innerwebz of the day again my friend
Valve grinding paste works too.
I must have left my can of valve grinding paste in my other pants
that’s my Go To as well. Rubber bands work only if the screw is already loose

Using a hammer is more satisfying.
Along with a cold chisel
Sawzall hammer and wood puddy
