  2. I had a friend in the Coast Guard this happened to! He was hearing noise in one of his front wheels. His answer was to turn up the radio! Late one night, on his way home on the freeway, he got the same result as in the photo above! The hub was literally red hot!

  3. It means an irritated spouse,vno more the weekends for a month because you now have to work OT for parts $$$, swap out a rear end and buy new tires…. enjoy!

  4. That looks like a failed bearing combined with disk brake lockup, Can’t imagine how many miles they drove at highway speeds to get to red heat through the axle stub.
