  1. when they ban guns, homemade guns is be made. and it is real easy to made tube guns- sub machine guns. hardest part are the magazine, barrel and bolt.
look at the sten gun or the ppsh 43 . both tube guns that can be made in most home workshops ammo, is always the weak link in the chain.
it is harder to make a bolt gun or wheel gun. tube guns ? made in a weekend.
welder, lathe and a drill press and away you go.

    • Quoting someone I can’t remember from a long while back: “When the ban guns, I’m not going to jail for no .25 automatic pocket pistol; I’m going to jail for the baddest whoop-te-do hallelujah ordnance I can put together.”

And like you pointed out, blowback full-auto is the easiest thing to build; the most critical part is the selecting the right recoil spring. Sten, PPSH43, and see also U.S. M-3 grease gun.

  2. I had forgotten about that website. Dave is correct, the magazine is the hardest part to fabricate. The biggest problem with a submachine gun is that it eats ammo like there is an endless supply.

    • depends , single stack mags are doable for the most part.
double stack mags are harder to make, but you can with time.
finding the right thickness steel is a problem at times.
springs are not that hard to make, learn how.
it is the follower that most have problems with. well, that and the feed lips. check out a place called wolf springs.
a lot of springs can be used in other than what they where made for.
best way is to copy a working mag and make one that works or fits
but. AMMO is always going to be the weak link.. you need ammo
or a way to reload it. casting the heads is not hard. powder and primers can be a problem.

  3. Oh dear…I definitely will not show this to my Hubby and definitely will not download anything for him to read later and make plans from.
    Definitely not.
    😉

    • Miss Wolfsong, I too wouldn’t and have not downloaded anything… Welcome to our humble blog, especially from where you are at. Too damn cold and wondering how you wash clothes with the washing machine drifted over with snow. Hope to see you comment more and don’t be a stranger, must warn you we are quite a collection of grouchy old farts and tool/gear heads.

      • Thanks for the welcome. 🙂
Truth be told, while I’ve not commented before (maybe on one of the other blogs?), I’ve followed and read along with Phil for many years. I’m good with grouchy old charming farts. 😉
And hell yes, it’s too damn cold where I am (you guessed right)…that washing machine is the old piece of garbage that we tossed out the door when we were gifted a new one.
Snow took it before we could junk it.
So there it sits until spring (holding sacks of chicken feed) when we’ll pack the bastard full of tannerite and see if we can make her go BOOM!!
Gotta have some sort of fun after the snow melts.

        • My kinda woman. Have made many similar tannerite shots with video. Pile stuff on top for more visual effect. Place tannerite towards the front though. Some things don’t react to well to bullets. In my best sean connery red october voice.
