  3. I think that may be too fast a rotation and will be too slow to heat the meat before it is out of the fire. This combo will give a tough, dried out, tasteless meal or jerky. The grill needs to be enclosed to keep the heat and moisture in for a good grilling. Nice concept, execution not so much.

  4. A guy at our church has an old round hay bailer set up like this pit. He makes some of the best smoked meats to sell as a kind’s fund raiser
