An Oklahoma state lawmaker is urging his constituents to turn to prayer after city planning officials gave preliminary approval to a massive development in northern Oklahoma that includes a mosque and a retail center.
City officials in Broken Arrow, the largest suburb of Tulsa, voted Dec. 18 to approve rezoning 15 acres of land for a proposed retail center and mosque, following hours of public comment from residents, according to local news outlet KJRH -TV.
The Broken Arrow Planning Commission gave preliminary approval to the construction proposal at the commission’s regular meeting, where more than 60 people signed up to speak over the course of the four-hour meeting — the majority of whom said they opposed the project.
Robert Goransson, chair of the Planning Commission, clarified the vote was strictly on the feasibility of the construction plans and “not the cultural ramifications,” he said.
Explaining his vote in favor, Planning Commission member Jason Coan said he considered property rights when casting his vote. “With a lot of comments that have been made, if it was your religious organization trying to build a temple, how would you feel about having your rights denied?” he said. “You all have the right to do what you want with your land as long as [it] meets the criteria set by [the] city and government.”
But most attendees were concerned about the impact on their community.
“I have a daughter who is 15 years old,” one resident said. “I don’t want this ideology imposed on her.”
I have no idea what it is or what caliber. I just found the video on X and it doesn’t say.
What I do know that it is one Bad Motherfucker.

I just found out two Landmark Strip Clubs I used to go to 40 some years ago are gone.
One was Club 205 on Stark Street by Mall 205.

It was at 99th and Stark and at one time I lived on 84th about a half a block North of Stark so it was literally just down the street.
I’ve written about some of the escapades I had back in the day in that joint before. Including when before it was even called Club 205 and when it was a neighborhood Biker Bar with Strippers when I first found it.
For a Strip Club, they actually had some pretty killer deals on Steak lunches and the steaks were excellent after they remodeled it into Club 205. It was a High End joint for quite a while, almost a Gentleman’s Club.
A buddy I worked with knew the guy who bought their beef and he was the Head Chef of a rather ritzy restaurant in NE Portland at the time.
According to this, it’s been torn down except for one wall so they can call it a “remodel” and Chik-Fil-A is going to build a new fast Food joint.
The other one was actually pretty famous regionally and was a bit South of Portland on the East Side.
The Acropolis Steak House and Strip Club has been listed for sale.

The last time I was in that joint was when my cousin’s boy turned 21 and I think he’s either 36 or 37 now.
I couldn’t tell you how their steaks were because I was always blitzed by the time we got there from Bar Hopping all night back in the 80’s.
Times are a changing.
I don’t know if it’s still true but at one time Portland had more Stripper Bars Per Capita than any other city in the United States.
I do know that now it is full of Homelss Druggies and Commies which are two very good reasons I stay the fuck out of that shithole and two good reasons why I hadn’t been in either one of those bars for years.
That and I got married and quit drinking well over a decade ago.
