A Great National Tragedy That Is Slowly Fading From Memory

To this day I can still remember watching JFK’s funeral procession on a little black and white television in my Grandmother’s living room and asking her why the boots were in the stirrups backward on a horse with no rider.

If I hadn’t seen a post from someone else earlier while at work today I would not have remembered what happened on this November day back in 1963.

Pretty Much My Entire Life

One of my earlest memories is from when I was 3 or4, trying to figure out how to adjust the seat on my trycycle.

Honest to God.

Soon after that, I can remembere using one of these,

To lubricate the pedal mechanism in one of these,

So you could say, that am a Natural Born Mechanic.

Hatched and ready to bust some knuckles from the Get Go.

That means I have been turning wrenches way over 50 years now.

45 years at least, since High school.

I even took a Small Engine course in Junior High.

So when I saw this video, I felt every bit of it.

Some days, it’s all I can do just to get out of bed and get dressed but I still have to go to work.

At this point I am literally leaving it in God’s hands.
