I Got One Of Those Phone Calls Today

The Ex Wife’s Daughter called to let me know she passed away.

It’s a mess.

Her kids don’t have the first clue as to what they are going to do.

The Ex was ten years older than me and she had been struggling with some serious mental health issues.

I hadn’t talked to the daughter since we split in ’95, she found my number amongst some of her Mom’s stuff.

Poor thing is lost.

I talked to her for quite a while, offered my support and volunteered to help in any way I could.

I’m going to give it a couple of days and then offer to pay for a head stone when they decide on a final resting place.

Either that or help defer some of the costs.

I didn’t hold our split against her too much, I was a drunken asshole and hadn’t grown up yet.

I didn’t have the first clue about being a husband or a dad to her kids.

I pretty much left her alone after we split even though I drove right by her house constantly for a while because she lived kitty corner from a bar I used to live in.

Shit happens and we all check out eventually.

About the only reason I am posting this is because this Blog is sort of documenting my time here and this is something that is part of my life.

There is no need for condolences and such.

I know you are going to want to but it really isn’t necessary.

She was part of my past , it almost seems like another lifetime ago it’s been so long.

About all I can say is Rest In Peace, Linda.

Fake President Biden signs a bipartisan lend-lease act that historical precedent suggests is likely to precede a hot war with the Sino-Russian alliance within one year.

Washington sought to portray a united front against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine Monday as President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan measure to reboot the World War II-era “lend-lease” program, which helped defeat Nazi Germany, to bolster Kyiv and Eastern European allies.

The signing comes as the U.S. Congress is poised to unleash billions more to fight the war against Russia — with Democrats preparing $40 billion in military and humanitarian aid, larger than the $33 billion package Biden has requested.

The Lend-Lease policy, formally titled An Act to Promote the Defense of the United States, (Pub.L. 77–11, H.R. 1776, 55 Stat. 31, enacted March 11, 1941)[1] was an American program to defeat Germany, Japan and Italy by distributing food, oil, and materiel between 1941 and August 1945.

Less than eight months later, the USA was formally at war with Japan and Germany.
