I went out and jumped in Ye Olde Chevrolet this morning to head out for work and flipped the headlights on while I was still in the driveway.

BLIP!

Immediately the drivers side low beam went out.

OK, note to self, swing by the parts house on the way home and pick one up.

Because my memory is still as good as it used to be, horrible, I sent myself an Email as a reminder.

As unlikely as it sounds, I actually remembered it BEFORE I got home tonight and swung in to Tony’s.

I jumped out, popped into the joint and immediately grabbed the wrong one. Thankfully the guy was on top of it and went back and got the correct one.

$15.95.

I think to myself, not as bad as I expected!

As he starts to ring it up he asks me if maybe I might want to get another one because the price is going up.

Since I have no idea how old the headlights are in the truck I said sure.

He goes and grabs another one, in a different box.

He points to the price on that one.

$26.95.

Damn, I say.

He says, no, that was the FIRST price increase.

Then he says he will sell it to me at the same price as the first one.
