About 8:30 am yesterday I suffered in my left eye, a severe vitreous hemorrhage which built pressure in the eye causing it to rupture yesterday. I experienced an vitreous hemorrhage and developed subconjunctival hemorrhage(white tissue of the eye) resulting a bleeding tear on the conjunctivae(external). I was rushed to the hospital by the paramedics and then transferred by an ambulance to Portland OHSU hospital for more extensive exam and treatment. The internal bleeding was cauterized and the tear sutured. There might be retinal involvement but it will take some time for all the blood to dissipate for a clearer image. I can still see shapes and large writing, so I have that going for me. I am now wear an eye patch and will for a while. I have been having problems for awhile in my left eye with the vitreous fluid in it from sluffing and causing wispy shapes and large black floaters. That is why I was absent for a couple of days. I can see out of my right eye and it will just slow me down a little more…
