Been living off-grid for over 5 years now. I love it ! No nosey neighbors making tons of noise, just me with the birds and frogs.
I’ve always been a nature lover and have never been impressed with cities.
There is a city about 15 miles away and I do have to stock up once a week.
Solar and a generator keep the fridge and freezer running and no goddamn tv.

Enough furs in there for bedding and it’s BLISS. No. Really. Best way to live.
Wonderful place to live but give me flushies any day. It’s important to handle exhaust (all kinds) appropriately.
I’ve done minimalist camping before, even during winter. I prefer modern conveniences. Call me a wuss if you will, I don’t mind – I’ll be a *comfortable* wuss.
If there’s not a cave around, and there ain’t many in Florida that’s not filled with water, that would do.
