Show us the OSI model next, Mr. CederQ? Nobody plays without Layer 1.
remember not to many years ago before the internet,– phones, the power grid, the mail and such worked just fine. are we better off now??
someone has opened the door to easily attack our country.
Since it ain’t Vincent Cerf or David Mills, I’ll just wish Samuel R. Delany a happy birthday.
A coax ring network. I just bought a house that is 20 years old. It had a coax ring network. They also had dish network. All 4 bedrooms, the den, office, and kitchen had 2 network cables and a tv coax but the office had two extra pair for the servers. There are miles of coax in the attic.
Happy Birthday CederQ ! And a well earned Much Obliged for doing the heavy lifting job of keeping this blog inner works running smooth. I’m sure it isn’t as easy as it looks.
It is not my Barf day, one of you readers. I never give out my birthday date.
Happy birthday to our friend. yes, I know who you are and you’re an old fart just like the rest of us

A Broken Ring network in a house?? Gawd!!
Abomination.
Sure it’s a ring and not a Novell (ArcNet) linear network. They can resemble one…
Happy bitrhday Igor, I thought it was you.
Happy birthday dear man.
Maybe they had one of those 10Base5 setups with the transceivers and vampire tapped thicknet installed in ’82 and replaced in ’85. And happy birthday.
