  1. I ran over a yellow jacket nest bush hogging my field. My John Deere 1010 had no cab. Those angry bastards were hitting the tractor (and me) like they were kamikaze pilots. I know I would have much rather chopped up a skunk. It’s amazing how fast you can turn off the ignition, jump and run when the need arises.

    • I read one comment somewhere that Yellow Jackets live in the ground because they’re digging their way back to Hell where they came from.

    • Cousin hit a red wasp nest mowing hay on a John Deere 2020 tractor. He was wearing sunglasses & one got between the glasses & his face & stitched him like a sewing machine.

  2. Did hit a fawn once. Too many of the darn things but rather not take them out like that.

  3. Obviously, you’ve never been spreading manure in a side discharge shit spreader, then have the wind change.

  4. Or have your asshole brother try to run a groundhog thru the Gleaner E, plug it up, and not tell anyone because he knew you would be the one to use it the next morning……..EWWW

  5. Well, hitting the skunk if you are downwind sucks big time, but upwind is tolerable.

Just don’t slow down or stop… or turn downwind. Easy, right?!?

  6. While shredding corn stalks, I hit long dead coyote and the tractor motor killed right there. I couldn’t get the damn thing started fast enough to get away from that ungodly stink. And then had to pass the same spot while finishing the field.

  7. You haven’t lived until your dog has a run in with a skunk, then jumps into your car immediately after.

  8. Bee’s nest or Wasp’s nest in the ground is something I have dealt with in the past. Very unpleasant and it is very hard to outrun these critters on a tractor with a mower. They will follow you at least a 1/4 mile or more. Ask me how I know.
