I was just lamenting earlier that the internet has shortened our attention spans, leaving us unable to focus on anything for more that a couple minutes. Which is why I’m determined to read more books to try to undo some of the damage.
And yes, I remember Premier K’s speech. “We will bury you!” Well, who is this “we” of which you speak? Do I need to update my lists of the evil PTB?
I just got done rereading Mein Kampf and reading: Fall of the Third Reich. been on a weird WW2 reading kick as I have being seeing parallels to the Weimer Republic in the US…
kind of weird now is it ? I keep waiting for the money to be come even more worthless than it is now.
I saw something to the effect that the fed had printed more money in the last 2-3 years than in the 80 some odd before this shit show. once that happens along with food shortages
we will be repeating the 1929-33 Germany for sure.
sad part is that most people have no idea what is coming.
they started teaching social studies instead of history what
over 40 years ago now ? I blame the peanut guy and his dept. of ED. for making this country stupid and dumb.
I remember my son’s social studies book in high school,
it had 3 and a half pages on WW2 or 1933-1945.
and a whole page was on how bad it was that we dropped the A-bombs on Japan. but they had over 60 some odd pages on the whole civil rights era.
Yes, I believe he added two cabinets to our government, that DUMBASS.
If you’re looking for a book that parallels current history with what’s going on in the world now, try “The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire”. Seven volume set. Took me almost a year to get through it.
You’re absolutely right, Greg.
I try to read 2 to 3 books a month, and have been trying to get the kids and grandkids to do the same.
It’s going to be fascinating to watch if the power went down for a week or two. People are so wired in these days I wouldn’t be surprised if Sudden Splodey Head Syndrome became a thing. They won’t know what to do.
Looks like pooty poot gonna finish the job on our government. I hope so, the good people of America are very resilient and we WILL rebuild as we have always done.
