  1. Only took two shots – he must be of slightly higher intelligence level than the average! And make note, those zaps he got were merely *brush discharges*, Imagine an actual path hit on him! Crispy…

It’s interesting that Florida has ten times the lightning deaths than Washington State, I don’t know what Utah is yet. Low, most likely.

    • I know Florida has the highest number of lightning strikes in the US (and last year the place with the most strikes in Florida was the county that includes the southernmost tip of the state and the Keys). While I have no idea how the number of strikes in Washington state compares, latitude and number of thunderstorms has to be a factor.

      • We have thunderstorms and lightning, but nothing on the scale of the southeast, actual people strikes are rare up here. Especially when people don’t stand in water during a storm. That is flat out stupid.

  2. Hey, he wasn’t sheltering under a tree, which he probably learned as a child. If he has already procreated let us hope he passes on his newfound knowledge to them. That goes equally for Netman and Cameraman. Me…..I’m going to start destroying any and all safety warnings that a creature above amoebic intelligence would find insulting. Let’s clean the genepool! Make Intelligence Thrive Again!

  3. WOW. and I thought I had seen some stupid shit in my time. but DAMN. what is wrong with them ? and the fact that I have never heard of anyone “fishing” in a rain storm let alone a thunderstorm ? I have to ask why ? maybe no food left in the house ? but hey when the lake get frozen over here, we have clowns out there
drilling holes in it to go “fishing”. I think it just one way to get out of the house myself. had uncles that ran bait lines for fish. but that was years ago now.
but sitting on ice trying to “catch” a fish is not my idea of fun anyway.
is the wife and kids that bad that you take any reason to get out of the house ?

    • When I lived in Atlanta my neighbor had a loblolly next to his pool. That tree would get hit two or three times a year. Every time it would take out the pool pump.

  4. We had a guy at work get struck by lightening while in a company truck, fried the electronics. He spent 48 hrs in hospital and still had numbness in his limbs so a coworker picked him up and drove him back to site As he was walking across the parking lot under clear skies he got struck again and that was caught on security cameras. He’s retired now

    • Shit, I thought you wrote “He’s refried now” and I laughed out loud.

Guess my tincture came out pretty strong with 150 proof and good flowers.

  5. Don’t be a sissy, don’t quit. Stand behind the guy with the net and rest the rod on his shoulders. And get some gloves.

  6. Its near impossible be completely safe from lightning here in n central fl. They say ‘stay inside, away from windows for at least 30 min after you hear the last thunder…’ Yea? Well that would make it so very little gets done for 4-5 months a year. It’s not uncommon for there to be 6-12 hours of thunder rumbling somewhere close enough to hear June thru sept. And it does get folks in cars and houses occasionally. And the number of times I been caught out in a boat in a t-storm?? I’m lucky, But not stupid!!!

  7. I remember long long ago reading in Guinness record book, there was a US park ranger who’d been zapped SEVEN times. Whenever a thunderstorm passed over his house, he would go to the side opposite from the rest of his family.
And yes, Darwin don’t play, stoopid should hurt, etc., etc., etc.
