I admit it, you got me. I’d never heard of White trucks before.
I thought you’d gone colour-blind…
Wait until you see my Packard trucks…

#4. Waiting on the sign painter to show up. Cab over tractors had the bad tendency of having their front hinges break after continuous use. Major reason they were discontinued. BTW. Fantastic pictures, Thanks
I’ve got a bunch of photos of a 1965 White Super Mustang, 400 Reo Gold Comet engine, 5 speed box, 2 speed axle. Armstrong power steering. Drove it from 1984 to about 2006 carrying lumber and finished building products. Mostly in NH, VT, ME & MA with a couple of trips into NY. NH 202A from Rochester to Strafford was my favorite road when empty. I swear it handled like a giant MGB on that particular piece of road. Thirteen or fourteen hours in that truck on a delivery up the coast of Maine and back and you continued vibrating for an hour or so. Let me know if you want the photos and I’ll send them all. Short video of the engine too.

Number 6 isn’t really a COE… cab over engine… that model is referred to a LCF… low cab forward. In a COE the driver sits over the engine… in a LCF the drive sits in front of the engine. Great collection of images as usual.
Number 14 the ETMF stood for East Texas Motor Freight. Back in the day we referred to ETMF as Eat The Middle First.
Another beautiful collection, CederQ!
They really are!
And Nice job numbering. {applause} to the always affable CederQ.
Careful, I could very easily slip into my non-affable mode…
I’ve a ’79 White. Was a garbage truck, then had a 3,000 gallon manure tank. Now it has a less than solid silage box. I call it The Gurly Man (in a Schwarzenegger voice). It’s an automatic so all the kids learned to drive in the fields. Since the box is weak & short, it can only be side blown, not dump boxed.
Yes, the tilt hinges have broken. Thank God Kevin can weld aluminum.
Also let the kids go wild on the box with spray paints. One of their favorite summer afternoons.
Image 20 appears to have a Queensland licence plate on the bullbar, but I cannot see too well with my phone screen. White trucks were quite common here.
Johno, the letter is 318 – DJN It appears to be a dash between the numbers and letters, or it could be a tag or sticker like they use in the states here to denote current year registration by a date and color.
#16 looks like a Tonka Toy!
I’m glad, too, that you included some black trucks to keep the ethnic balance . . .
Always liked the old White trucks. Nice collection CederQ!

Why are they called White Trucks?
Because they work.
