Like Guardduck said. I ran into a bunch of pictures of that Ford in different models, some a open bed, two door, 4 door and this one is the “Suburban” model. I posted the other versions in earlier Old Truck Thursdays and when I found this in my library lurking in the bottom I wanted to post it, was getting to smell like fish, forgotten at the bottom of a refrigerator. I like the style and I am sure it would have sold here in the USA.
Thanks for the info. I thought it was some sort of Ford, but had no idea of what kind. Learned something today.
Homer NY has a Brockway museum however I have not been there yet.
That Sinclair station sure brings back memories…
#5: A Scammell, usually seen as the Scarab “mechanical horse”. That one was registered in Grimsby, then in the county of Lincolnshire.
There’s my red stake bed again
Why I added it just for you!
All three of those all-wheel drive, two ton(?) flatbeds are absolutely gorgeous. The Chevy looks particularly beefy.
The photo of the log being loaded out of a spar tree is a new one on me. Just when I thought I’d seen every vintage logging photo in existence.
Thanks for an especially fine collection of old trucks this week.
Liebherr has a way with making very LARGE equipment. See their 11000-series cranes, SpaceX has one of theirs. And, they USE it.
What the heck is #6?
