  1. Barbies Dream Hearse is a Miller Meteor. I learned all about them when a college buddy accidentally bought one at an auction and we had to go get it. That thing was fun to drive. It had a 500 cubic inch engine.

  2. Those 50’s model Ford “sedans” are certainly interesting. I’ve seen pics before but didn’t really know what they were. Figured it was either a concept vehicle or something south of the border. Turns out it was Brazil, thanks Google. I’ll probably get Spanish language Ford truck ads in all my feeds for the next 10 years now.

However, certainly different. I’d drive one daily just for the hell of it.

  3. And one day all those powerful trucks will be powered by Al Gore created rubber bands.

  4. Those Dodge D500s were what we used to drive to/from the missile sites.

If you want to see SPMTs in action, just go to the Lsb Padre site and look at some of the videos, or you can watch them in real time when they are hauling a rocket or booster up and down the highway from the build site, the test site, or the launch site. Pretty impressive to a 70-meter tall booster going down the road at 1-2 mph!

  5. Zinc mining. You should see the chat piles height near Commerce, Ok. Home of Mickey Mantle. The area was one of the largest superfund sights in the USA

  6. I remember real Tonka trucks. Solid built metal, and nearly kidproof. I also remember when “Made in Japan” mean cheap trash. Some of our toys still had the repurposed Budweiser label on the inside of them.
I haven’t shopped toys in decades. Do they still make Tonka trucks?

    • I had every single one of those trucks and then some… I was selfish, I didn’t let my friends play with my trucks, I didn’t want them smashed up and rode on with bent axles. I had OCD back then. I just remembered how they use to treat their toys. My parents didn’t have much, so I learned at an early age to appreciate my toys and belongings.

  7. Those 2 hearses with all the carving are awesome. The Autocar with the low-boy trailer could be Lizzo’s limousine.

I had some Tonkas. Don’t remember which ones. Also had tractors and various plows and such, but I don’t remember what brand. I was more into Hot Wheels anyway.
