  1. Great set Cederq, I love old pictures.

That last one looks like a route 66 special. I grew up 3 blocks from it. There was a famous old motel across it from me. My Dad said he spent one night there on his honeymoon headed to Santa Fe.

  2. Highly Wiggly in Alaska? Or somewhere with snow on The ground and served by the Alaska Railroad?

  3. Thanks, auto-correct.

That was written “Piggly Wiggly” (and just tried to correct me again)

  4. #2 looks like “Big Muskie” at the former strip mine in Morgan County, Ohio. They took the bucket and put it in one of the pullouts along a state road and called “The Miner’s Memorial.” Big Muskie was huge. The bucket was about twice the size of the house I live in. It was finally disassembled for scrap. They had two other walking draglines which were good sized as well. It took 27 trucks to haul off the parts of one of the draglines when it was sold. They were only about half the size of Muskie.

    • Kansas has the biggest ever built, still sitting there. Can’t remember it’s name but had a friend who visited showed me pictures.
