  1. My father had a ’65 C10, just like that one – only 2WD.
He also had a International, like the one pictured.

The Band, Diamond REO, got their name from a truck they saw while stuck in traffic.

      • Oh, stop.
You know full well I had Chevy powered race cars. And yes, there are a few GM cars I like: Chevelles, 67 RS/SS Camaros, early ‘Vettes, and a smattering of G bodies.
I had a 83 Monte that was a nice car, but ended up being a total POS. I should have converted it to a 4 speed instead of junking it.

I have a lot of good memories about the old “Red Chevy” pick-up. Did a lot of hunting and fishing out of that rig. It was a pretty dependable truck. 292 straight six and a three on the tree.
Dad replaced it with a 70 F100, 300-6, four speed, 4WD short box. That also became my first truck and the catalyst for my fondness of the Blue Oval.

  2. If Dodge executives had the wit to re-introduce a retro Power Wagon, in gas and diesel, they’d be building them three shifts a day to meet demand, and it’d blow Ford and Chevy pick-ups right off the sales map.
