I was on a n amphibious bus once, they used to have the ‘hippo buses’ in the Victoria harbor back when we took the kids there for a holiday in 11.
It was fun for the kids, I wondered the whole time what the mean time between failures was on the inflatable seal around the doors was.
There is a vid of the amphibious bus bouncing off the bow of a ship. Saw it just this week somewhere.
“a plate of ice cream”?
Only if it is riding on top of a slice of pie.
I saw the same thing and thought they must have eaten very fast in the old days.
I remember seeing the Weiner Mobile at the World’s Fair in NY. Damn, that was back in 1964.
The Pickup on top of the Tracked Chassis appears to be an M-4E8 Tank without the Turret- the Horizontal Volute Springs (HVSS) give it away. It’s too bad that some (Idiot) didn’t Restore that Vehicle, as they were one of the less common, Late-War Variants.
As for that Wheel-and-Tracks thing, (not a Half-Track, in the proper sense) You’ve Never Seen Weirder Off-Road Trucks than in Russia – and the Factory-Built ones are Weird – then there’s the ones that Vodka-Drinking Rednecks build in their Garages….
Isn’t today Tuesday?
