  2. Thanks for the railroad pics. My Dad was a Trainman and Conductor for the Milwaukee Road, with a couple years with Amtrack (pox be upon them).

  3. That Conrail 7776 is a slick looking livery. Leaves me to wonder how long that GP38 remained in service with that paint job. Looks like it was first delivered to Penn Central in 1969, and picked up by Conrail after PC’s bankruptcy. Rumor has it the bicentennial paint job was done by an engine shop without permission from corporate (how cool is that, if true?) Last documentation of it was in 1987, in service for a mining RR that acquired it from Conrail, and repainted it at some point thereafter.
