Apparently the number of dudes not getting laid (either satisfactorily, or at all) is one of the primary drivers of human-like robot technology right now. It is some disconcerting shit, given the already extant level of advancement and realism. They are even working on models to do basic household tasks, beyond being mere sex bots..
On one hand, it may finally force bitchy and dysfunctional women to get their shit together due to the competition. On the other, it may doom the human species by making companions that enough men find good enough to dispense with the real thing. And considering how many men have already given up on real women (just out of frustration) – with nothing to take their place – it doesn’t look like widespread use of robotic stand ins for women will even be necessary to collapse the population.

Pffft! Lemme see those robots contort themselves into the positions required by human mechanics to disassemble/assemble modern vehicles and machinery. Everything would have to be redesigned to make every nut. bolt, screw easily and plainly accessible.
