true that. I have cried more over the dogs I was lucky enough to have more than any person I ever knew.
I miss my old great dogs more than any one I have known too.
That’s because dogs are better than people.
I’d say the same things about cats.
Cats don’t love you, they treat you like staff and expect to be fed.
And yet we keep doing it over and over
In my 72 years I’ve had to say goodbye too many times – ONCE is too many. Good faithful friends, all.
As a kid, we had to scrape up a few off of the busy road, even THAT was hard to do. Puppies either learn or become road pizza. A real-world learning….
Same thing with horses and they can live to 30+ years with the proper care.
I’ve come back to this three times this week.We said goodbye to Bailey three weeks ago and it is still pretty raw. There is no love like a dog for his family. I know there are dogs in heaven, because who would want heaven without them.
