  1. Damn, running a bit hot there, eh? I wouldn’t want that in anything I was driving without a 1/2″ pig iron firewall, automatic fire suppression system and and an ejector seat to get clear of a catastrophic failure in a big fucking hurry. Once again aptly demonstrating the adage that just because something can be done, doesn’t mean it should be.

    • I tell you what, if that was me doing the recording, I would be beating feet to get clear of the explosion. Only rocket nozzles should be glowing and spitting fire, not mechanical stuff going 30-4K RPM and under tremendous load (for what the design was rated at.)

No thanks! It WILL be spectacular, Dan.

  2. has to be some kind of “race” engine. no one does that to something they want to keep or use. seen that setup before on race engines but never that hot.
too much boost and fuel too lean looks like. not sure the inter cooler even works on a engine that hot. or might be that the turbo are too bit/too much boost ?
lots of race cars had twin turbos in them. never saw one that hot before though.
anyway. doesn’t look like it going to last much longer.

  3. yeah. watching it again. the turbos are too big, too much boost for that size engine.
just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should.
