Pri Care Doc told me to limit my coffee/caffeine intake as that was “probably” contributing to HBP. I complied. 1 cup 40%/60% caffeinated to decaf mix, the rest (5-6 cups daily) straight instant decaf (99.7% caffeine free according to the label). Hasn’t helped. In fact, HBP has gotten WORSE, despite no salt (which I haven’t used regularly in 30 years) and other dietary changes as recommended by an OBESE Registered Dietician.
So, now Pri Care doc changes one of my BP meds AGAIN (third change in 4 months) in the HOPE that the new one will work where the other two have failed.
Oh, the new one DEPLETES Potassium along with trying to widen blood vessels. From what I’ve read, potassium is REQUIRED for normal heart and muscle function, as if I don’t have enough aberrant heart function already.
I will give it a try.
Expectation of it working? Fat effing chance.
I believe there’s something else going on that’s driving my HBP. They’re just not looking in the right place. All blood assay’s are in the middle of “normal” ranges.
Now you know why they call it “Practicing” medicine. When they actually perfect it, we’ll all be long gone. Might just as well go to a bead jiggler.

That is not a drinking game going without.
Stress/torture test, actually. NOT a game!
