Then again, I live within 50 miles of not one, but two volcanoes.
Mt. Hood which is a few miles East of Portland and Mt. St. Helens which I could see from my front porch if it weren’t for some trees blocking the view a block away.
There are places here in Vancouver where I can see both mountains at the same time and we all know what happened to Mt. St. Helens…

That’s Kilauea shooting over 1400 feet in the air. I believe since last year it’s the 39th eruption. Youtube shows 3 different live camera angles.
Rainer and Adams aren’t that far away either..
It would depend on which neighbors were getting rained on.
I can see a volcano from my house. The mighty Mount Baker. Tis a thing of wonder.
