My Sister In Law sent me this and said she thought of me when she saw it.
I laughed out loud and told her that wasn’t even one pocket.
I’m wasn’t kidding.
Normally there would be a Snap On 4 inch crescent wrench in the mix that I have carried every day for over ten years but I seem to have misplaced it somewhere in the last week.
Other than that, this is my typical every day load.
It’s no wonder my britches are always trying to fall off and the holes in my belt are stretched out.
The normal load of nuts, bolts and screws is a little on the light side too.
This doesn’t count what is in my coat pockets either.
Before anyone asks, yes that is a thread gauge there towards the bottom next to the silver pliers multi tool.
Mine’s not much different. My small crescent is on my biggest keychain (I have 2 keychains hooked on & tucked into pockets, & 2 just in the pockets).
When we got together, my girl lifted my pants as I took them off & wondered how I can carry all that weight. I have to wear a belt: I have White Man’s Condition, Noassatall, & when I unhook my belt the pants hit the floor–no need to unbutton them!
Did you know if you throw your clothes into the wash after help a friend reloading for an evening, you need to buy some new clothes and a new dryer for the wife after all the extra primers go off.
Pennies?
Exact change.
ahhhh, thread gauge…i was thinkn feeler gauges
that picture is fukkin great, hilarious and insane but great
That’s me too, but I’m trying to fix myself a little bit. A holster for the light and pliers was a big help. Don’t have the smokes or snuff anymore, an occasional cigar is in the refrigerator. A good pen and a fat carpenter pencil are handy for me. I still carry too much shit.
Impressive !
Better in your pockets than in a man purse. Oh, perish the thought!
What have ya got against man purses?
I saw a guy with a man purse at the grocery store this morning. He also had purple hair.
Did ya get his phone number at least?
No, but I gave him yours.
Mine is unlisted… and not in my name.
I carried a 4″ crescent wrench also in my (carpenter) toolbag.
Worked great for a skillsaw blade removal tool among other things.
I’m a calibration technician. Don’t get me started on what’s in my bag. Fucker weighs about 25 lbs. It carries my work laptop and ‘a few essential tools’. Who knew a ruby stone, among other things, was a tool without which one should not venture out?
My 6″ and 8″ crescents are in there, to complement the 4″ on my keychain. And so much else….need a thermocouple, or maybe an awl?
The hell of it is, they’re there after 20 years of “if I only had…..”. Other techs say “ask Budd–he’s probably got (insert name of desired tool)”. I’m Mr. Fucking Haney. If I’m not carrying it, I’ve got it on the truck.
Truck’s a whole other subject.
Much truth there for many of us.
I figure I carry an additional 1 lb or more at the end of the day
Looks about right ‘cept I don’t carry a small Crescent around with me. Some small combo wrenches, but not a Crescent!
My beginning of the day is a Swiss Army knife and my truck fob clipped to a belt loop. Yesterday when I emptied my pockets: Dremel barrel sander, 2 different sized wire nuts, an eye hook, 4″zip tie, paint can opener, and a quarter. I found the quarter. The rest accumulated through the day. BTW: I am retired.
I laughed my ass off as well. One of my cargo shorts pocket can’t do it anymore hole in the bottom.
My favorite Uncle Gene got me carrying a small snap on pliers in my pocket. One year my fiancé at the time, now my wife gave them back to me as a Christmas gift. I thought I had lost them.
I eventually lost them and never carried again.
Was looking for the 10mm socket….
