Half Irish from my mother’s side, the Troubles hit too close to home and half Swedish from the dad’s side, a stubborn berserker… As Terrapod reminded me, mom was Black Irish so I have a smidgen of Spanish…Spanish – as in the Inquisition specialists
Aye
Lessee, never really looked at it from that angle, but as to meself…….
Norman (Norse from Normandy) as in vikings that became English in 1066
English – as in stiff upper lip and never surrender
Spanish – as in the Inquisition specialists
Armenian – hard headed as no other
American – don’t bend a knee to anyone other than God and Wife
Pretty good mix I’d say.
I guess we are Vatos…
Me, neither. But, then again, when you look at your ancestry. There’s a reason that Washington spoke so highly of the Scots and the Irish. The Romans built a wall to keep the Caledonians at bay. I don’t think they did that with any other ethnic group. Then, you throw in some Yorkshire Vikings and well…make me. Oh, and don’t go to sleep…I will be waiting.
Half Italian and half Irish. A more hard headed, volatile mix can not be found anywhere. The good news/bad news? All of my known to me ancestors lived well into their 90’s with two surpassing 100.
Irish, Scot, English, Dutch, a pinch of French as well.
I’m well-connected on my Scot and English and Dutch ancestors.
My last name comes from Irish, though. Go Figure.
Never??? Please clarify.
