Sun Dog. Common in the winter up here. Usually happens at the same time we get hoar frost. (no, not Jane Fonda on ice.)

Sun Dog. Saw this in St. Martin when I was there just before their pandemic lockdown.
Caused by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.
