My “give a fucks” s empty but my “fuck off’s” is spilling over on the ground
So the wife went to town (Roseburg, Or) to go shopping. This is a weekly event. We go to the same half dozen stores each trip. She said Costco had less product, and the shelves were looking pretty bleak. The local farmers co-op (DC Co-Op) had the same issues with much less product on the shelves. The local grocery store (Sherms Thunderbird) was well stocked. There are big trucking companies going belly up. I think things are going to get tight. Cederq may have different observations…..or the same. Phil would occasionally ask for updates around the country. Can I ask for people to give us an update???
Thanks, Jim
Jim, I am seeing that here. I moved to Sutherlin last weekend and I am seeing less filled shelves at Shop Smart which is associated with Ray’s Food. I don’t go to Costco but my brother does and he mentioned he couldn’t get certain things. Told him there are an abundance of pine and fir trees around his place… pinecones can be an acceptable alternative.
supply does seem to be hit or miss a lot these days. I always grab what I can when I see it in the store. there a really goo local pasta that was out of a while, like 2-3 months or so. so when it showed up in the store, I grabbed a dozen boxes of it.
I think this is going to happen a lot more as the dollar slides more.
and companies close up due to costs. big stores like Walmart can take a bit of lost
but smaller stores can not. no matter what anyone says, this country runs on diesel
as long as the price is high as it is, everything else will go up in price.
my neighbor has a great paying job, but it is a 55 mile run each way every day.
he looking to move closer to work as gas prices are starting to bite him.
he even sold his pickup truck for some ecobox car that he can’t stand !
and he makes over 200 grand too. BTW, he is a demorat too. he gets pissed when I tell him ,” well, you voted for this shit. suck it up “
I haven’t been to the grocery store this week. Last week, there were no apparent shortages of any food products. Shelves were full, fronted with plenty of stock behind the fronts.
Prices are EXTREMELY high. I spent ~$106.00 for what I would have paid $70.00 for 2-3 years ago and $50.00 during Trump.
Gas was $2.39 about 10 days ago when I last filled up. According to Gas Buddy same station is now $2.55 and that price is the median in my area with about 30 stations being reported.
I live in central New England.
Obviously, no one has taken the time to fill up her fuck tank. Any takers?
Ya well, my FUCK YOU tank is full up!
