  1. True story. My little sister was born with a terrible birth defect on her face that required a lot of skin graft operations. She came out of it OK but we used to have to splint her elbows to keep her from picking at stitches in her face. She was just a toddler. Anyway one time years later at work we were having a conversation about a co-worker who spent a little too much time 2 knuckles deep mining for green gold in his nose. I just casually threw into the conversation that we ought to splint his elbows like we used to do to my little sister. It stopped the conversation and everyone was looking at me like I was some kind of psychopath.
