At this point there is too little data to make any sort of informed speculation as to what it may be. Certainly, the little data available to the public shows a phenomena that does not meet our expectations of a comet. It will be very interesting to see what emerges from perihelion.

If they give us any truth at all, it will most certainly be a partial truth at best. For good or for bad it is the way the elites treat the common man. We may not have the resources that the powerful have, but we have the same curiosity built into us as they have to know the unknown. It is how we the would be clueless can challenge their scrubbed and bleached half truths.

The video is interesting but missed a few other oddities. Scientists say the – reflectivity he mentions means its size was likely under estimated and is nearer 40km in diameter.
Second its now venting a nickel gas towards the sun, not away.
Its most likely a asteroid/ conet coning from a place were the chemical composition is very different than our system… But its weird

If it is a Spacecraft, doing an “Oberth Maneuver” (using a Planet or Star to Accelerate or Decelerate by Gravity) they will also likely Run Engines, and the Velocity Change will be More than just the Gravitational Effect. It’s quite likely that IF it’s a Ship, they’ve been Underway for Many Centuries, well before Radio was in use on this Planet; they may have thought it was Uninhabited. Now, the “Roll Up the Windows and Lock the Doors” procedure might be Wise.
Also, given the Time/Distance considerations of Interstellar Flight, chances are high that the Ship is on Autopilot, HAL-9000 is running the Systems, and all Crew and Passengers are in Hibernation.
