The ghosts of my kinfolk call my soul back to the Hollers I have never set foot in.

Damn, I didn’t think you had it in you! It can be a terrible temptation to go back where your ancestor’s bones lie. That is what women should be dressed, modest with a touch of femininity. Good music too!
The spirits of those in the past can sure have a pull and a sense of serenity and of roots we sorely lost.
Thats Johnny Cash’s better half.
I thought it was! A young version of June Carter!
“Walk the Line”. One of my favorite movies. All about Johnny and June Cash. Some great music in that film.
Miss Sandy, there are plenty of examples on the ‘net of good amateur folk music from different cultures, but I gotta say, the web still ain’t ready for a Bustednuckles grudge country-rock band, more so if Phil and Cederq sang duet.
I was wrong, again. At that time I had yet to watch the Phil ‘n Cederq duo’s music clip over at Irish’s place, it’s amusing.
Don’t sweat it, Phil–we’re keeping the hollers secure. They’ll be here when & if you need them.
I live in a little wide-spot in the road. Closest I guess there is to days like that. Sometimes I love it. Other times, not so much.
Damn that was good. Thanks.
We had a lady in the neighborhood that looked exactly like Mrs. Cash. Man, did I have a giant crush on her!
That’s Mother Maybelle Carter on guitar, I’d know that face anywhere.
That was fun. Thanks, Phil
Love me them hollers!

Ole man Carter stole a lot of the music from the locals, but that Carter family could sure do some singing.
Thanks for that musical treat. What memories!
I’ve got a holler and a half. More than enough room here in the free state of Tennessee for you and “your ilk”.
Last year I bought a Stevens 320 12 ga. pump (Winchester 1300 clone) for $169 after tax, license, registration (kidding, there’s no license or registration) and $10 back ground check. Very good gun, I thought it was Turkish built. When I got it home, I figured out it was Chinese,”FUCK!”. Go on line, check reviews, early ones had issues, later ones, awesome. Bought my 1st gun here at a yard sale! See!? Free State! Everything is cheaper except sales tax, it’s just under 10%, no income tax. Property tax and car registration varies by county, ours is very low.
Not worried about the type of readers you get, moving here.
P.S. Tennessee is a machine gun and suppressor state.
I had no idea of who that was singing. As I was watching her, I was thinking, “That is one hot woman.” Reading the posts above, I now know why Johnny Cash married her.
