  1. I had a science teacher that could write upside down and backwards so I could read while he wrote the corrections.

  2. It was a talent, worked on until I could read memos on the bosses desk.
Mirror writing was another one. So you could communicate with other bus denizens on the way to scruel.

  3. It’s not backwards if turned right side up. And reading upside-down a right handy little talent! I’ve always been able to do that, at a glance, without even thinking about it, which over time pissed off more than one little boss and several co-workers something awful.

Another talent I have is the ability to know what’s inside a wrapped present before it’s opened. It’s a gift! (Get it?)

    • ‘It’s a gift!” Your a poet and didn’t know it, but your underwear shows it? I developed that ability to read backwards and upside down by reading medical charts as a nurse or doc was filling out and I became legendary at reading doctors scribbled hieroglyphics.

  4. @Ceder – Being able to read some Hebrew made reading this a snap !!

@Terry the Terrible – see Illinois Energy Prof on youtube

  5. Took a little longer than the correct method but not bad. Interesting what the mind can do to control our views of reality.

  6. I’m able to read upside down/backwards easily, but never considered it to be that an unusual skill. Now I’m wondering how many people (as a percentage overall) who are literate to begin with can’t read their native language upside down/backwards. Is it really that uncommon to be able to do so?

  7. …and Bob’s yer uncle!

Reading it is easy for me, what is the challenge is to WRITE it out (by hand)!

Upside down and backward is somewhat of a challenge for me.
