Cyber Criminals used AI in a hacking attack for the first time.
I’ll be the first to admit that I am pretty much a Luddite when it comes to computers, coding and all that happy shit.
Mainly because I’m not that interested in it.
I first started playing with the damn things back in ’99 because a dear friend who passed away recently gave me an old computer.
Which I promptly got sideways with and wound up getting a virus in.
But I do know a little bit and this news is All Bad.
For everyone.
Most of what this guy says goes over my head because, technical jargon but I certainly get the gist of it.
So, listening to the video, and reading the story at the link, the data breach was caused by low level efforts, a few people called the company saying this was part of a “security exercise”. The people at Anthropic should have known better.

No, they should have behaved differently, they knew this was inevitable all along. The victims should sue them as co-conspirtors, and use as evidence the patent/trademark applications (though rejected) that have AI listed as an author/creator.
That’ll show them.
Social engineering is one of the oldest hacking methods. I’m surprised that a company like Anthropic would fall victim.
On another note, when you look up the definition of nerd in the dictionary, this guy’s pic is in the margin.
Anthropic wasn’t a victim, it was the getaway driver.
We’re all screwed.
Between AI backed cyber attacks and quantum computing with the Willow processor, cyber security is pretty much over as we know it.
What needs to happen to these hackers and scammers is they need to be hunted down and killed when discovered.
These people are pieces of worthless shit, living in shithole countries, and it would not take very much money to pay someone over there to kill some of these fucking rats and then be paid when they show absolute proof.
If they think it is fine to hunt other humans for their money, then perhaps those hunted humans should pay money to some real hunters.
I doubt we would lose any decent people in this.
