That’s why Willie, Waylon and the boys went to Austin. Chet Atkins controlled Nashville nearly destroyed it. They’re still trying to recover. IMHO Eric Church is the only thing to come out of Nashville in a long time that isn’t pop based.

I recall Alan Jackson walking out of the CMAwards when that hip-hop whatever bitch was singing her “rendition” of a country song.
Alan Jackson is pure country, and doesn’t tolerate someone pushing their shit on him.
That made my admiration of him even better.
