I voted in Hawaii for the 2024 primary election, and they took my paper ballot and fed it into a scanner for the computer….I don’t know if it matters that I went in person to vote, other than having to show my I.D.
Last November, I went to vote in a local election, the election official declined to verify my photo ID. Noted that she did the same with the two folks behind me. Mentioned it to the official in charge on the way out. Pointed out that it was required under Virginia statute.
This past May, the same official requested the ID from everyone in line.
Sometimes you have to let them know you are watching…..
Okay, but do you trust each individual handling the ballot to CORRECTLY count the ballot?
Mail ‘em by the millions, 81 or so. Oh wait, DHS put SS in charge of security for the electoral college, all is well
