Great video! I’ve been woodworking (professionally) for almost 40 years and he had a couple of tricks I’d never thought of!
As a welder and fabricator, I use one of these daily. Also, a 16″ tri square is a must have. When marking “I” beams I use two. One across the beam and one in the web. Layout for marking holes along with a metal scribe makes an accurate mark.
I finally realized I wasn’t poor, got four of the 6″ ones for $10 each, and leave them set as gauges while I work on a project.
Oh, I love woodworking, but I’m too impatient to do the detail work of it therefore I don’t
gee, dad showed me how to use a square years ago. but then again he was a builder who ran a concrete/mason crew and used to build warehouses and factories as well as high end homes for rich bastards (his words)
I don’t do as much as I used too in the shop these days. I have to change that.
