IMHO, two Constitutional Amendments from early last century doomed the country. Both occurred in the second decade.

There’s also the almost unlimited expansion of the Federal Government that the 1913 Amendment allowed.
The one in 1920 opened up the “equality for all” debate and movement and led us inexorably to having queers, trannies and pedophiles shoved down our throats and having that crap exhibited to OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN in school and in public places on a daily basis. Not to mention those deviants have a federally sanctioned MONTH LONG PUBLIC CELEBRATION of they’re deviance’s.

One other thought I had yesterday after I posted this(I know, I have two brain cells that communicate occasionally) was in relation to Free Trade and the influence of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on domestic manufacturing and jobs.
Free trade allows countries like China to manufacture products, that they steal the intellectual property for, and dump those products here, killing U.S. businesses and more importantly domestic jobs.
IMHO If a country wants to do business here by selling their products in our markets, they should pay for the privilege via import tariffs. This country, at its inception, used import tariffs to fund government and to pay off the debts incurred from the War for Independence. That all went by the boards after 1913 and allowed fed.gov to become the tyrannical leviathan it is today.
Remember Ross Perot’s prediction of “the giant sucking sound of jobs going South”? He was denounced by the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce as a nut case. Then, after NAFTA was agreed and signed, guess what happened?
When Trump was President, he imposed large tariffs on Chinese steel and other commodities that China had cornered the American markets on. Ask yourself who were the people and organizations that opposed Trump’s tariff policy and you know who the traitors are.
