Do they serve grits 24 hours? If so I am too! I love me some grits with meals…
Cederq – ya mean there’s some joints that DON’T?? Ya gotta be Schumering me!
Looked up that image, from what I found that’s located outside Nashville and is currently closed. (A different site said it was located near Portsmouth, OH).
I’d eat there. I love checking out dive diners and bars. Americana at its best. 👍
Dave, you are right, very few small town diners, dive or otherwise in existents.
Did you see where outside Trashville? I’m north of there, up by the Kentucky border.
If’n there’s one a them there joints here in FLA., I’m in fer shure!!!
That looks more like a drinking establishment than a eating establishment unless your talking about the giant jar of pickled eggs at the end of the bar?

Puts one in mind of Dan Jenkin’s (Semi-Tough, Dead Solid Perfect, You Gotta Play Hurt etc.) favorite – Herb’s Cafe (sadly now gone) in Fort Worth.
The covid economy and orcs, took out a lot of those kinds of places.
Years ago I ate at a little Messican place near the UP rail welding facility in Laramie, WY.
It was a pretty shitty little house, just barely clean enough, but the food was awesome.
It’s been closed for ten years now, but it taught me not to pass bu a cafe just because it wasn’t pretty.
Can’t be a bar, it’s got windows.
Have eaten at quite a few places like that. Never better.
