I don’t consider myself to be unintelligent but he brings up points that I certainly hadn’t considered yet.

He’s wrong, right out of the gate. He starts by confusing quantum computing with AI. The sooper complex math problem was a one-off iterative problem and the only reason the quantum computer could solve it is because it processes Q-Bits which somehow can exist in a 1 and 0 state simultaneously. Quantum computers work at super cryogenic temps approaching absolute zero, they are buggy as hell, and super sensitive to vibration. The guys that invented the quantum Qbit technology – don’t really understand why or how it works themselves. Quantum physics involve extreme fuckery and gayness that may require decades to sort out.
All AI is, is standard computer coding and massive decision trees. The only reason it works is because modern computers operate at super fast scan cycles. I didn’t have time to listen to it but I don’t think I’d get spun up just yet.
Exactly Glen, AI and Robotics (for that matter) are nothing but a bunch of 1s and 0s and a crap load of if-then-else statements. GIGO applies to all of it. You still have to sort through the what AI puked out to figure out if the information is usable or not.

Question…a simple or mabe a not so simple one…these robots, that can do a humans work of one year, in four months…what they gonna shop for on amazon? or in a grocery store…hardware store…realtor etc.

Great question, but the guy is still asks some good questions. I wonder what AI’s answer would be to this: Siri, I am and eleven year old boy. What is a great vocation for me to think about entering into by the time I graduate high school?
AI is here & things are not like they were is what he was saying. Reminded me of what the buggy whip makers had to say when the automobile changed their world.
