Boy Scouts of America name change becomes official in effort to be more ‘inclusive’
The organization officially changed its name on Saturday to Scouting America
“Scouting America has remained committed to providing youth with a safe environment where they can learn meaningful life skills, create lifelong memories and grow into tomorrow’s leaders,” the organization wrote in the statement. “In fact, more than 130 million Americans have been through Scouting America programs since our founding in 1910.”
Fox News Digital previously reported the rebranding came after a substantial hit in membership during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organization’s website features its new name, but social media accounts still have the traditional handles.
“Scouting America has helped instill timeless values for multiple generations of Americans,” Krone wrote in the statement. “In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, the values and skills instilled by Scouting are more critical than ever and the need for strong character, ethical decision-making and effective leadership remains paramount.”
Krone added it is reaffirming its commitment to providing a “safe and supportive environment” where young people can develop essential qualities.

My Grandfather was a founding member of the BSA in the United States. Troop 2 (there was no troop 1) early 1900’s, Emmanuel Union Church, Staten Island NY. I am extremely grateful he did not live long enough to see what has become of them.
This was a deliberate act by the left to destroy something good, American, and wholesome. Just as they took over and destroyed higher education in America.
I’m an Eagle, my dad was Assistant Scoutmaster until he died when I was 16. He volunteered for AS because when he was a kid the Scoutmaster got busted for kid-diddling and he didn’t want me and my little brother preyed upon. The Scoutmaster “retired” right after my dad died.
When I was in college I learned the Scoutmaster, a lawyer, got busted because his stepson, my best friend, was mentally crumbling and went to the cops at his college.
The lawyer had hundreds of videos and thousands of pictures of boys going back 20+ years to his time in the Air Force in Thailand where he was free to diddle little boys. My dad keeping watch didn’t even stop all his depravity, just the majority.
The skills are great to learn but at what cost?

Carey, there are 3 liquids that boys gravitate to as they age, alcohol, gasoline and perfume. In other words, boys, as they get older, will start drinking, they get a cool car and begin to chase women. That’s why there two “fumes”, gasoline and perfume, cloud their minds.

Thank you, I was just shy of 17 when I got my first car and discovered girls really don’t have cooties… that was more interesting than tying knots and merit badges and the summer between junior and senior in high school I entered the early entry program in the US Army for my basic training so when I graduated high school I went directly into my AIT training at the MP school. I went into a bigger, badder boy scouts with real weapons…
…and the delayed enlistment programme gave your “time in service” pay a head start. I did that with the Air Force in ’69. That was a great year to experience 69 with Rita Jean!
One of the reason I did it and I got school credit for it also, but I had enough, I always went to summer school so I wouldn’t have to work on a cousins farm that much during summer. When I got out of AIT, I was an hard stripe corporal. Come to find out the Brigade Commander was an old WW2 pilot buddy of my dad, I had a war-daddy and he asked what I wanted and I told him to go hard stripe and just before AIT graduation I had my orders for corporal and it pissed of my CO and Top to no end…

I made Eagle too in 1966. But have not supported anything about the Scouts since I heard their stance on homos. Even though I’m killing it at fishing I won’t tell them what bait I am using.
Eagle Scout here, Troop 800, Fort Lauderdale – awarded in 1979. I too am disgusted by what has become of scouting. It was a way for boys to be molded into upstanding, strong, independent-minded leaders in their local communities. Even what I was in scouting, the “rot” had begun to set in, at least at the local level.
when I turned about 15, I started working and no longer had the time for scouting. I miss those days of olde.

We have the dubious honor of having Boy Scout HQ in our council and they are completely corrupt. They close down the big Scout ranches we have so the “Executives” can have an invitation only deer hunt every year. There are active oil and gas wells on some of the Scout properties and nobody seems to know where the money goes.
Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls are faith based outdoor youth organizations that have been formed to replace both the Boy Scouts and The Girl Scouts since those organizations have abandoned their moral foundation. These are fast growing organizations and many ex-members of the Boy Scouts who are disgusted by what Scouts have become are helping these new organizations get going.
I was a scout, Ive l taught at the Jamboree, as a soldier, in uniform. The rot is simply this, we have no values anymore, in anything. The scouts, same as child services, many sports, or many areas of education are target rich environments for these predators, remember Sandusky, Penn State? And that slimy fuck Santorum that got off free and clear? Keep your kids away from them, period full-stop.
