  1. Steel-toe boots can get quite chilly during outdoor work in Chicago winters! Attempting to warm them up a bit by sticking them – briefly and alternating feet – into an open coal burning pot belly shop stove, causes leather shrinkage about as quickly as toes get warm.
    Reporting for a friend.

    • My -60 rated work boots have carbon fiber in place of the steel. It reduces the temp bleed.

  2. The novelty will wear off quickly as you begin stubbing your toe(s) on that set up. It does look cool though.

  3. The first time I stubbed my toe on that I’d wanna shoot it.
    I’d likely be struck by the ricochet and be hopping around from the stubbed toe and then bleed out from the ricochet.
    I think I’ll just stick with the one I have.

    • Just wedge your toes into the claws, so you don’t fall over and put your back out while loading it.
