Is that ball socket 1/4 ratchet head from Horror Freight? Don’t think I have ever seen one before. I have a surplus of bits and bit sets of every kind, don’t need them but the socket would be cool. Did not go to HF today, but might tomorrow thanks to your vid.
Just received an oil filter wrench I ordered from fleabay. One of the big tool sellers had it on sale for 26 bucks, found the exact same wrench online with an off brand name for 17 delivered. Shopping for stuff pays off most days.
All the best to you and all the lost nuts that hang around here.
Exact same multi-bit set I have, Phil – I found out about the 1/4″ socket adapter as soon as I opened it up. Doggone handy!
Brilliant, a hell of a lot better than those swivel link ratchets.
You need a Time Machine!
Then you could go back in time, and buy (at Harbor Freight). The cast iron grinder stands, for $29! (On sale of course. Normally $49). I don’t remember if they were China, India, or Pakistan?
But they were damn good. I musta bought three pairs. They made thee most sublime speaker stands!
Lead shot, or sand filled (hollow steel post. Cast iron top and large triangular bottom plate). And yes, you had to add your own spikes, top and bottom. But holes for same were already present. Total weight was thirty five pounds sand filled. I never bothered with the lead. Though yeah, once I did. Waaay back when.
I’m convinced ! I’ll go get one for my shop and one for each of the barns. Thanks!!—ken
I started using a 1 x30 belt sander for lawnmower blades and chisels,
Recycle blades are bent almost impossible with a 6 in. Wheel,
The platin on the sander horrer fright lossens and moves so I locked it down
And made wooden jigs that c-clamp on ,32 for blades 30 for chisels, etc
I have a Norton 6 in wheel somewhere in my shop of horrors let me know
If you need it.
Before you replace the wheels, the wobble is usually in the flanges. Cast ones are bad enough, but yours are probably stamped out of Chinesium. May want to look at that first, before you spend more money on something that doesn’t fix it.
Well done, Phil.
Wife unit wanted to go to Costco on a christmas shopping Date.
Is Blue DEF for the gift exchange appropriate?
No shortage of TP or paper towels at our store yesterday. Racks & racks & racks full.
Good video, as always.
For the first time ever, I went out on a Black Friday. The Bi-Mart 6 blocks away has Rustler jeans for $9.99.
Funny how one’s priorities change with age.
Only been in there twice, both times cost me over $300 each.
Funny how much shit you didn’t know you needed til you went in there.

Abom79 did the flanges on his Baldor grinders, because they weren’t up to his specs.
