    • It is.

SOMEbody’s feewings are always gonna be “hurt” by direct talk (no embellishments and no prevarication) because they’ve been trained to be butthurt if there’s even a whiff of criticism.

      “Suck it up, Buttercup”
      “Embrace the suck”
“Nobody gives a Rat’s Ass about your opinions, do your Da** jo b and call somebody if you screw the pooch. THAT’S what we pay you for.”

I worked with some good, some bad, several outstanding people. I’ve worked with people that needed Close Adult Supervision (and some of ’em were MANAGERS) or the wheels would have fallen off!

I will couch my language carefully if necessary to avoid friction with my co-workers, but I won’t sugar coat. That makes me relatively friendless nowadays, but the ones that stick around (my wife for instance!) realize that yeah, I say what I mean and I mean what I say – not out of spite or malice, but because I like to Transcend The Bull****.

So be it. I ain’t got much time left, so I ain’t gonna waste it on coddling YOU, cupcake!

      YMMV.
      End rant.

      • Even I like you… don’t know why, maybe has something to do with your charm…

    • Not “no filter”.

I say what I mean (or think), but I don’t say EVERYTHING that I think (or mean).

But I do mean what I say.

  1. one of the best things I heard one of my old bosses say about me was “don’t ask dave how things are going unless you want to hear the truth”
he doesn’t sugar coat anything. I was told that by my old office manager
as the boss was showing the new guy around.
I have found life is a lot easier to deal with if you know what the score is.
and like many others, I had to work with a lot of back stabbing assholes over the years. it is great to be retired and away from all the bullshit.
