  1. Still find them in SW Michigan, maybe not so rustic, but local family farm and orchard outlets are plentiful, especially in summer and fall.

  2. We got one up the road on Hwy. 29…woman has a smallish open-faced building with a fridge section. Sells all local produce from here in NW Florida and some Amish butters, jellys and what not.
Some really good veggies and fruits from my experience.

  3. Got one here in our local town, run by the farmers grandkids. Honor system, you put your money into the ammo box bolted to the trailer.
Fresh picked fruits and vegetables, Always worth the stop.

  4. We have a few u-pick/they pick farms nearby. Berries mostly. Nice to have.

I love the roadside stands in Hawaii though. People just put their stuff there with a honor system box next to it.

  5. I have one 15 minutes from my house. Nice selection of fruit, vegetables, eggs, meats and raw honey. Nice small climate controlled building. Several small farms bring in their produce.

  6. Here in the south, we still have a few peddlers selling produce from the back of their pickups or trailers. Farmers Markets have just about put the peddlers out of business or consolidated them to one spot

  7. Western North Carolina: I have 3 of them between my house and town. Mostly stop and shop at the smallest one. His family has been farmers.in the area for seven generations (I ran his family tree for him). Watch out for the chickens when you park. Time it right and you can buy a pig (and even meet it before it goes off to the big house).

  8. Plenty of those round these parts. But I am fortunate that I can grow my own and don’t need farmer’s markets. Plus I control the growing conditions, no herbicides or pesticides. Clean eating. YMMV
