I Hope Everyone Had A Good Turkey Day

I hope the meat was moist, the gravy savory and the stuffing perfect.

We had a houseful of folks from the Wifely Unit’s side and she made a great meal.

Unfortunately, for the last 3 days, I have laid in bed at night trying to sleep until I could see the light coming up through the window. By the time I would get to sleep and then wake up, I had about 45 minutes to get up and get out the door to go to work.

All that caught up to me today so I have been laying in my recliner dozing on and off all day.

Even with a house full of people yakking and laughing.

My back’s been killing me for no good reason too so I popped one of Daddy;s Little Helpers, put the headphones on and dozed listening to music.

Sleeping in fits and starts, I’m still tired but I did manage to get up and eat dinner and then after another nap, get up and have a piece of Pumplin Cjheese Cake with real Whipped Cream so I feel a little better.

I have no idea what the deal is with not sleeping, could be a lot of things but hopefully I will get back to normal by Monday.

Anyways, I hope everyone else had a good day and thanks for stopping by.

  1. Sorry to hear about the sleep issues. Hopefully they clear out soon.
Glad to hear you had a good meal, though.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Phil.

  2. A first for me, I got uninvited to Thanksgiving….lady who I’ve done work before asked me over for Thanksgiving…
I accepted, then she wants to bring all my lawn care tools over and spruce it up.
    I did all that……
Then when I get home from sprucing up her place. ….
She calls me back, and explained she didnt have the turkey thawed….
    So she calls Thanksgiving off.
Another getting fucked, without getting fucked.

  3. Have you tried Melatonin for sleeping? 1mg-4mg seems to work for me, depending on how bad the ‘can’t fall asleep, staring at ceiling’ is.

  4. Happy day after. Circadian interruptions suck. I’ve been “off” since the damn time change.

    Feel better.

  5. I empathize with the sleeping issues, it makes life rough. Sorry to hear you’re going through that.
Other than being half worn out and sleepy, it sounds like it was a good visit and I’m glad you got to share it with family.

  6. Well, to iterate what’s been said, a friend turned me on to magnesium glycinate & melatonin an hour before bed & it works well & it isn’t drugs but I did read where too much melatonin your body gets to depend on it over time so . . . .heads up.
