  1. Prior to the federal Reserve tariffs were used heavily.
    No inflation.
Creating money at a faster rate than GDP growth?
    That is inflation.

Being an ignernt redneck, I hadda look up Infarct..
Infarct is a localized area of tissue death caused by lack of blood supply.
It’s so cool not needin to grab my 1973 model Webster’s.
It’s still good to have because sometimes I see a word and something doesn’t seem right, look it up online and it just doesn’t ring true. Grab the Howahd CoSell challenge book and sure ’nuff,,it’s not what it UseTaBe..
Yeah, Cosell used a lotta big words and I’d look them up, hoping to catch him wrong. Nope,,

    • Right about tariffs, wrong about inflation. Study US history and you’ll find alternating periods of boom (inflation) and bust (unemployment) since the founding.
Whether we have a Fed or a gold standard, business cycles are inherent in capitalism.

      • LOTS of supposedly “edumacated” people don’t understand that the Markets regulate themselves. In cycles.
Crony Capitalism and Gooberment interference screw that up. Big time.

        • In theory, assuming ideal circumstances, markets regulate themselves. Just like physics where things work perfectly assuming no gravity or friction.
Lots of unedumacted people confuse theory and reality.

    • You are right, it is tissue death, usually resulting from a clot. Medical people refer to an infarct as one would call it a heart attack, it is actually an infarct. Strokes in the brain are infarcts and it is tissue death that results in diminished cognitive acuity and loss of motor control in limbs, speech, eyesight, the whole gambit. A good example of a muscle infarct of the doctor in the show House, he had an infarct in one of the muscles in his thigh which caused him to limp and have chronic pain. A couple of other blogs get on my case because of the words I use and they have to spend time looking them up, I say good, education! I am looking at you Karl…
