  1. You can pour tranny fluid into a 70’s model carburetor while running to clean up some particulate in the engine, or so my young dumbass was told and demonstrated to.

    White smoke for days.

  2. do the same thing with a spray bottle and cold water. white smoke for a while
and your engine sounds better afterwards. haven’t done anything like that in years now. like close to 40 at least. the guy who showed me how to do that was a old wrench turner on P-47s back in WW2. he had some wild stories about that plane too. and pictures to back them up even. I wonder whatever happen to all of those old pictures he had. I know he served in England at the time, 43 to 45
nice old guy, he taught me a lot about engines.

  4. Ford had a recall for all of the trucks that blew flame out the pipe. A serious issue for everyone who worked in the oil and gas industry, as every Ford (within a certain year break) was absolutely banned from even being near an oil lease. It was just after Ford FINALLY figured out their EGR cooler issues – so many trucks had failed EGR coolers, including brand new ones, seeing a newer Ford diesel on the road was a rarity, as they were all parked at the dealers waiting for their backordered parts.
The truck I was issued from the company never even made it to our base – I was given a Chevy, which I had for three days until it was written off when someone ran a stop sign doing well over 50mph in a 30mph zone. And I was transferred before my truck was repaired.
Fun times for everyone driving something different.

  5. With all the plastic being used to make trucks these days that could set your whole on fire!
Saw a moroon get stuck in a low spot of the approach to a level bridge on an extra icy morning. He just sat their giving it gas until the tire burst into flames followed soon after by the rest of the car. Adequate winter tires would have prevented the issue entirely as would just a little shove that day.
To quote George Carlin, “I’m just here for the entertainment”.
