I can’t even begin to number the people that wouldn’t accept that a carb that falls on its face, BEFORE it accelerates, is slower than a smooth opening Holley.
The red truck has a fresh Holley 9834 on it, as I type. Though I think I should have gone with a 8.5 power-valve. It is just a touch lean on tip in. I’ll probably just increase the pump shot, in the mean time. Too cold to frig with it now. Already below 0 F at 6:00pm.

It even sounded cool on my one lung 350c.i. 1970 Chevy Impala. Great fun around town, but it killed my 120+ MPH top end on the highway. I don’t know what that actual speed was, only that the speedo was pegged. Too much air leaned it out at WOT.
